During each session, children will work at a workbench and will have access to their own set of tools and materials (e.g. wood chisel, hand plane, saw, raw wood) to complete a model that is suited to their skill level. Instructors will demonstrate techniques and methods, but never on a child's model so that all of the work, learning, and development is solely from the child.

As students progress through the program they will start and finish models, and progress to making more complicated models that will continue to challenge their development and ultimately aid in building their individual character.

This program is designed to be rolling and completely individual in format so that each child can gain maximum benefit from Sloyd Experience while still participating in other extracurricular activities.
